Illi-Down, Illi-Dead, Illi-Done...Game Over. Ho Ho Ho!

The fight...

The Illidan encounter is quite possibly the best designed encounter currently in the World of Warcraft game. And so it should be! With the entire expansion being centred around Illidan Stormrage and his army of foes, one would rightly expect his challenge to be of epic proportion. And that it is!

It's not a hard fight, but what exactly is being classified as hard by the majority of raiders?? I'll tell you... 1.Randomness - It's not about how 'random' you can make a fight. 2.Consumables - It's not about how many pots you can afford to bring to a night of attempts. 3.Geared - It's also not about how well 'geared' your Raid members are. No! It is, to put it quite simply, your Raid's determination, focus, awareness and most importantly their anticipation.

Why did we kill Illidan in half a night of attempts? I've just answered this above. It is the same reason why we killed Archimonde in one night of attempts, and, Kael'thas in 3 nights of attempts.
Apparently, we were prepared!

So prepared were we, that we almost had him dead on our first flask for the night! When you see the Boss on 8% health, and your entire raid is alive, you get that funny feeling in your gut saying to you 'Nothing can go wrong here...!' You start to feel that excitement, that adrenaline rush flow through you... You start to feel that sense of accomplishment you know you've been working towards for the past 6 months. But, with the blink of an eye, it can, and did for us, all turn to shit (no thanks to a tiny flaw - not a bug - in the encounter).
We prevailed though, with the very next attempt being the kill... and 2hrs remaining on our fresh flasks damnit!

The players...

The Fallen Chapter crew has been the best damn group of players I've had the privilege of being Guild Leader to, period.

As a small Guild killing Lady Vashj 4 months ago, we set our long-term goal of killing Illidan before Xmas. We've all experienced the highs and lows with the game. We've all had to grasp, an overcome, the retarded-ness expressed by the certain few 'fuckwits' who used our Guild for their own selfish reasons.

But hey... In the end, only we know how much fun we've had all along in this game, in this Guild, together - and no retard, school kid or fuckwit can take that away from you now.

I will take this moment to once again congratulate each and every one of you for your efforts over the past couple of months, even the players left standing outside the instance having to experience the fight from Vent. You all know we couldn't have done this without each others help over the course of the expansion. And, you all know how great it feels to accomplish our goal which was set so long ago. Lap it up ladies and gents, you deserve it.

The 'others'...

This goes out to all those fuckwits, teenagers, school kids, kids in general, retards, shit-fucks, imbeciles, ignoramus, assholes, forum trolls and let's not forget the 'specials'... the spastics, who, over the course of [who the fuck knows cause we are the ones laughing at you], have dissed us, mocked us, talked shit about us, "thought" about us wrongly... two words can best describe our feelings to you all (and our screenshot)... from the bottom of
